Working visit of the Heads of ECOWAS National Offices to the NOEPE-AKANU (Togo - Ghana)

The Heads of the ECOWAS National Offices, accompanied by the Director of External Relations of ECOWAS and the Director of Cabinet of the President of the ECOWAS Commission, held a working session with the heads of the NOEPE-AKANU Joint Border Post, between Ghana and Togo, on 11 October 2024. This working visit, which is part of the annual meeting of the Heads of National Offices of ECOWAS, aims to discuss with the border authorities compliance with the rules governing the free movement of ECOWAS nationals in order to promote cooperation and integration between ECOWAS Member States, while enhancing security and stability in the region. Participants focused on topics such as: Free movement of people and goods, security cooperation and current needs of the Joint Border Post.
