Meeting between a high-level delegation from the AfDB and the ECOWAS Department of Human Development and Social Affairs



Abuja, 5th September 2023 - A high-level delegation from the African Development Bank (AfDB) met with the Department of Human Development & Social Affairs, led by Commissioner Prof. Fatou Sow Sarr, to discuss the progress and future plans of an ongoing project as part of the bank's regional strategic plan.


The meeting, held at the ECOWAS headquarters in Abuja, aimed to review the current status of the project and address any challenges or bottlenecks encountered during its implementation. The delegation, comprising senior officials from the bank, engaged in fruitful discussions with the Department's team, led by Commissioner Prof. Fatou Sow Sarr, renowned for her expertise in analyzing human development and social affairs.


The Commissioner, Professor Fatou Sow Sarr, expressed her appreciation for the AfDB's continued support and highlighted the crucial role of these collaborative efforts in promoting regional socio-economic development. She praised the constructive dialogue during the meeting and the commitment of both parties to ensure the success of the project.
