The Directorates of the ECOWAS Commission and the ECOWAS specialized agencies met on March 4, 2024 in Accra, as part of the preparatory work for the ECOWAS - UEMOA - EU tripartite meeting for the programming and implementation of the European Union's Development Neighborhood and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI) 2021-2027 - West Africa.
This meeting, which brings together players from the ECOWAS NDICI and specialized ECOWAS agencies, is a consultation meeting designed to prepare for the ECOWAS-UEMOA-EU tripartite dialogue scheduled for March 7-8, 2024.
It will also serve to take stock of MIP programming, set up an effective steering mechanism, discuss the conclusions of the mid-term review and ensure the integration of regional priorities into annual action plans and challenges.
Expected results include the completion of the MIP programming update, the establishment of an effective monitoring mechanism, ownership of the conclusions of the mid-term review and agreement on the integration of regional priorities.
