H.E. DR OMAR ALIEU TOURAY MEETS WITH MEMBERS OF THE DIPLOMATIC AND TECHNICAL CORPS TO STRENGTHEN ECOWAS RELATIONS WITH ITS PARTNERS*

The President of the ECOWAS Commission met with Nigeria-accredited diplomatic and technical corps on January 29, 2026, to strengthen ECOWAS' ties with partners and explore collaboration opportunities for regional stability and prosperity.

Discussions covered regional stability, peace, security, counter-terrorism, economic integration, statistics, infrastructure, digitalization, and telecommunications. The meeting also launched five technical groups focusing on capacity building, peace and security, infrastructure, economic integration, and agriculture.

The meeting aimed to enhance diplomatic relations and drive regional growth.
